Azad Madni Appointed Dean’s Professor of Astronautics

Azad Madni has been appointed the Dean’s Professor of Astronautics. This appointment recognizes Azad’s distinction in Astronautical Engineering.

Azad Madni is a professor in the Department of Astronautical Engineering, with courtesy appointments in the Keck School of Medicine and the Rossier School of Education, and the Executive Director of the Systems Architecting and Engineering Program. He is the founding director of the Distributed Autonomy and Intelligent Systems Laboratory and a faculty affiliate of the Ginsberg Institute of Biomedical Therapeutics. The founder of Intelligent Systems Technology, Inc., specializing in knowledge-based modeling and simulation technology, Azad received his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Engineering from UCLA.
